The escaping of Jesus (John 6.1-15)

The Ev John let us know: Jesus is famous (a large crowd followed him, impressed by the signs he gave by curing the sick). But now an other sign:
like by a prophetic competition: not 100 but 5000 men got "bread + fish" in plenty...   (as Jesus is doing the same as Elisha has done - only better cf.   Kings 4.42-44)... what a challenge to the question: He is what?
There is no doubt - neither for the people nor for John: Jesus is the real prophet, the messiah who is to come...
This discovery leads to the next step... as we take into consideration the political situation: such a man
would be a wonderful King! more: a powerful
King (a victor against the Romans an all other enemies...)
But Jesus is not yet ready for a political confrontation -
he escapes!
Later (John 12.12-16) on his way to Jerusalem he will not escape - 
he gives in to the Hosanna-shouting-people - but in vain: We see the Cross.

And today: The Church made him a King - and he cannot escape. But worse:The Church gives him the attributes of the Jahwe-God.
He is valued as very 
powerful...  He is the head of the Christian Churches /
of billions of people. 
Is there in the world one man - every Sunday many millions of people like him to be a King; one who heals, one who helps, one who cast out devils etc.. And He cannot escape...(he has lost this escaping-power too).The believers have the imagination "Jesus is the King of the World" and they know He likes only to be "bread + wine" and nothing else. 

This great historical misunderstanding will weaken the Oct-Family-Synod 2015. Jesus is not a King (Imperator) who tells us how family must be lived - he is "bread + wine" for people with good will; Jesus is not a reward for
good-Church-behaviour and not an instrument of punishment for failures.
Jesus is not a substitute; not a political nor a human one! He is "bread + wine" for us in order that we become "bread + wine" for each other. In this sense,
the escape of Jesus is much deeper than mentioned above. 

Paulus insists (Eph 4.1-6): there is one Body, one Spirit, one Hope, one Faith one Baptism, one God...  and we Christian Churches are therefore asked to build up ONE JESUS...the one who likes to be "bread + wine" for all.

it's very urgent...

It's somehow UNITY-Sunday.
Jeremiah
(23.1-6) speaks about shepherds to look after the sheep's, to pasture them - not to be scattered.
Paulus
(Eph 2.13-18) speaks about "Jesus Christ is the PEACE" between us:
he has made the two into one (the Jewish-Christians + the Gentile-Christians), he has broken down the barrier to create one single NEW MAN, a single BODY and unite this New Community with God (transcendent unity). 
Mk ( 6.30-34) shows how urgent it is to teach people this very UNITY. In teaching UNITY, there is no rest for a while. 

In the name of Jesus every leader in the Church must be specialized in "uniting", must be a manager of Peace and Unity. The great question:
HOW to unite
- the Family, the Group, the Parish, the Diocese, the Nation, the World; the different groups, the different interests, the fractions... but it must be very clear: it's about UNITY in DIVERSITY !!!

UNITY-VISION:
a) to declare: there is ONE God for all means:
                                                              we are already united in ONE God!
b) to declare: Fullness of Life (Heaven) is for all means: all have the right and 
the duty to participate with the Fullness of Life!
c) to declare: the Holy Spirit is poured out for all means: all are gifted to bring their contribution into the UNITY of the Community.
Such declaration is quite important but it's equally important to know the unifying strategy.

UNITY - Strategy:   Everyone has the Right + the Duty
Baptism: - to be accepted totally as a own personality(name) in our Cty.
Confirmation:- to actively build up this his/her Community.
Penance: - to confess the own sins and to get forgiveness.
Obedience: - to listen to the others esp. to the experienced ones.
Death-sentence: - to protect Life.
Marriage: - to choose the own life-partners.
Ordination: - to decide his/her own carrier
Unction: - to be accompanied during all his Life difficulties.

The Church is the stakeholder of this strategy. In the meantime Humanity has developed in this direction the today famous "human rights" and the Church has to integrate this fruit into her practice. The development of this strategy is also today hard work (cf. Family-Synod in Oct. 2015).

As many times we see Jesus as a teacher... He shows us HOW to work.
In the GOSPEL of today there is a clear missionary-strategy. May the CHURCH of our time learn from this Jesus-advice; example!

1. Call the missionaries together (all twelve Apostles means today: the whole CHURCH or at least all the Bishops. It's today named a Council or a Synod
cf. Oct 2015). Mk don't reveal the discussions among the Apostles - doesn't
matter - but without Synod, without "together" there is no sending!

2. Jesus sends them out in pairs. It means don't do missionary-work alone!
a) Don't pray alone! To pray - go to your Christian Community (go to CHURCH). If you stay at home  for your prayer, at least call together "in your mind" all the Community. Feel connected. To pray means to accept God as Creator (as the Father of all mankind) and therefore we stand before God as one, as united; at least not alone!
b) Preach in pairs. It sounds strange. It's not you, it's the message who counts. And the message is so rich... like the orchestra: the different instruments all together translate the message.
c) Treat the unclean spirits in pairs. "Unclean spirits" means a wrong thinking, a wrong feeling, a wrong acting. An unclean spirit is out of reality. The man is occupied by strange imagination. Maybe he sees himself as "center of the world" (cf. narcissism etc...). In the eyes of Jesus not one work should be done alone. Act as connected as possible. Together you discover the right thinking.

3.The first step in missionary-work is always to invite for "metanoia". This famous "repentance" is the acceptance: my thinking is not at the end, is not a rock, it's changeable. As soon as we agree: change is possible... we go together on the way. We like to find out - together - which thinking is better, more just, more full of mercy, more lovely.

The human "togetherness" became a strong impetus on the 18.06.2015 as Pope Francis published his encyclical letter to all of us, to everybody- named:
"Laudato si..." (praise to you Lord). The Pope calls us to widen our sight (vision). As family we live together in our EGUMBO; as Nation we live together
in Namibia (cf. Gage Geingob). But the Pope invites us to see the whole earth
as one EGUMBO for all of us, for the whole mankind. And together we care for this common EGUMBO. It's an eye-opener to look around and to have in mind: Yes this rotating earth is our common EGUMBO.

Jesus at home (Mk 6.1-6)

The new encyclical letter "Laudato si" (18.06.2015) cares for "our common home" - and everybody knows "the common home" is now our earth, the whole creation. And this earth, this world is "the basic" (the "hic + nunc" / the "now + here") of the "Kingdom of God".  or) GRACE supposes NATURE!  or) "The fullness of Life" is integrated into the "Shares of Life"!  or philosophically) The WHOLE is represented by the FRAGMENT.

The Gospel today says only two important activities of Jesus: a) Jesus (and the Apostles)
went to his home-town. [John 1.11 says the same: "He came into his own, but people did not receive him" / or John 1.14 says: The WORD became a human being, full of grace and truth, lived among us...]   b) Jesus is teaching there...

We make a translation and we see: What Jesus has done, the Church is doing today.
The Church (the risen Jesus) went into this world again and again and is teaching the people - all over the world - already since 2000 years - it's an ongoing process...
The reaction of the people of today against the Church (Jesu's staying at home) is like in the Gospel: 1. The people who hear the Church are astonished: They asks from where has the Church her own not understandable, not acceptable wisdom? How / Where the Church makes miracles today? In reality: There are a lot of questions today about the teaching of the Church! And nothing is really understood if you remain only in your worldly thinking.  2. The listeners say exactly this: we know them: these homily-people, these catechists, these lecturers - they are only like we; no special revelation...the same problems... staying in the tradition like we... It's evident: the listeners remain in their normal thinking, saying: "we know them!" Because you know already for sure (full of prejudice,)
you are not ready for something totally new... Therefore 3. A lot of people are not able to believe any more... |They go their own way in their own fabricated world...  It's very difficult today midst in all our modern knowledge to be open for something totally new...
as new as the hope of the Fullness of Life!
The reaction of the Church (like Jesus): The Church tells the World: You do not accept us because you are unable to accept the Church as Prophet; therefore  we cannot show you miracles; we only may cure a few...
But... only if you turn - metanoia - open for a totally new thinking... 
and still the Church is amazed how the world lacks of greater, spiritual expectation...
