At Ash-Wednesday we got the message "You are dust and to dust you will return"; maybe we are "STARDUST" - what a wonderful definition of life: spring-time and fall-time; birth and death. Exactly this is NATURE... and we are Nature !!! coming up and dis- appear... But not only... we are also Mind and Spirit. The human mind is able to recognize nature and to transcend it... we speak about meta-physics; it's like a new world on the other side of nature: the world of imagination and knowledge, the world of technics and architecture, of culture and economy.
After we discover the field of meta-physics we go further into the field of meta-noia...
it's the step into action. After a long maturation JvN became a man of action; first well known as a "Healer" and a "Changer"...
At Palm-Sunday we discover JvN has gone into the field of Politics ... :Hosanna to the Son of David, the new King". The Temple and the Government are now alarmed. JvN has entered the power struggle in public. His engagement for his VOCATION seems unlimited and the Temple as well as the Government have no other way as to eliminate him in order to keep their power, their structure their order. Going public means you are handed over... in every case you are extradited.
This is very typical for JvN. The reality to be given over into the hands of... started by Mary and is a trademark of his life. At Holy Thursday we show to the people where this "handed over " leads to... the symbol "feet-washing" - it means every execution of power has to be a service to the people (There was a time in Namibia, the Rom.Cath.Church was well known under the title "Community serving humanity"). And we show the people the Eucharist: the Body of Christ is handed over into the hands of the Community.
This is now more than Nature, more than meta-physics, this is spiritual engagement; it is meta-noia: you have decided your life is "Bread + Wine" for others. This personal decision of JvN we perform again and again at the Eucharist.Such a "life-style" includes death as an integral part of "handed over". And such a "life-style" changes the cross-way into a resurrection-way.In these days we celebrate JvN for his decision to show us a way, a life-style" who is nature + meta-physics + meta-noia.
We are convinced God is pleased by such a human demonstration. JvN has shown what kind of life is possible, a level of life, where human life becomes "Bread + Wine for the Life of the World".

In - Dependence 2016
What do you celebrate today 21.03.2016 ??? There was a time SWA was a part of RSA; there was Race-Apartheid... and today: there is NAMIBIA. Between yesterday + today there is a "liberation struggle". The Party, the Politics, the Churches and many more Institutions have mobilized people to dream about a New Nation, a free Namibia, Democracy and Prosperity, Equality and Richness for all... Some people became fighters for... to make the dream a reality... and today we celebrate! But again: What do you celebrate??? The fruits of the "liberation struggle" ? The Churches know God is in favour
of Independence; many believe Independence is a gift of God and suggests the situation of today is in God's pleasing. Is there a need for META-NOIA ???
I accept: the situation of today is much better than of yesterday. But I like to pay attention to a great danger for Namibians: it's the "TRAUMA of Independence."
It seems Namibians have quite deep in mind Independence means: "I can do what I like"; "I'm independent" and this means: "I depend on nobody". This psychological TRAUMA shows: many Namibians are out of reality. Because it's a human reality: we depend on...
we live in dependence on...
We depend on the family, the sun, the environment, on time + space, on air + water... and this dependence is real, is nature, is good. Dependence is the basic order of the creation; ALL IS NETED. After and By accepting the real dependence we can scale up to a higher level of a kind of Independence. That is the struggle since 2015 etc... "to get real", to discover the reality. I hope the Churches in Namibia may take over the role to play "prophets" in this regard: To show the believers how to discover the reality:
First: we realize and we accept: we depend on each other, we depend on nature, we depend on grace - and such a dependence is firstly good; it's a value.
After acceptance of the dependence we learn, we struggle:
2.A) to open a way of more independence in the sense of self-determination, of self-performance, of self-consciousness...
2.B) to open a way of more negotiation, of more conversation to find a common solution
2.C) to open a way of more involvement, more inclusivity, more"we go together".
Such a learning-process is a gift for Namibia; the Churches may wake up...

The Lord-God proclaims: "Who made a way through the sea; a path in the great waters;
"Who put an army in the field, never to rise again; snuffed out;
The Lord-God proclaims: "There is no need to recall the past
no need to think about what is done before"
SEE !!! I am doing a new deed... - even now it comes to light... - can you not see it ???
I am making a road in the wilderness, rivers in the wild...
do give my chosen people drink !!!
Look at Paulus (Phil 3.8-14)
What is the supreme advantage of knowing Jesus Christ ???
The past is over, lost...
I have a place in Jesus and I want the power of the resurrection! I try...
I forget the past - I strain ahead for what is still to come...
I am racing for the fullness of Life.

What a program for our Catholic Church in Namibia:
for every believer, for every Priest and for the religious Sisters and Brothers.

The old Jahwe-God is past: Mt + Mk: "My God, why have you deserted me?"

VALUE - management a Lenten exercise
Joshua 5.9-19 As the MANNA (the desert-bread) stopped - the Israelites had to manage the produce of the country Jericho - to feed now themselves.
2. Cor 5.17-21 God's reconciliation [a real VALUE] is given in Christ. But now the work is given to us to handing on [to manage] this reconciliation.
Lk 15.1-3.11-32 He squandered his money... he was lost... finally he is found by God
We got a Budget from Finance-minister for 16/17. He likes to spend N$ 66 Billions and to receive 58 Billions. That's quite a National Asset / a VALUE. The dept is raising to 64 Billions - we pay nearly 5 Billions as Interest. He shows us how much every Ministry will have to care for NAMIBIA. 25% of the Budget for Education - that's a lot.
The Parliamentarians have now the chance to discuss maybe to improve the Budget ...
and we NAMIBIANS at least we are informed.
Every City and Village, every Region has to show the people what they are doing with the money. They must be transparent and responsible.
Such an openness and transparency we have NOT in our Church. The real Christian Community, the Parish, the Deanery, the Diocese - they do not publish neither a Budget
nor a Finance-Report. WHY NOT ???
And the religious Congregations (OMI, OSB, MSC, MSFS, OfmCap etc...) do they publish
a Budget and a Finance-Report? WHY NOT ???
"Because in the Church there is no corruption and Church-people are believers" that's an ideal but not the reality. I feel the Church should be a good example in Finance-Transparency - and if believers know for what Church-money is spent, they could take on a say, they could improve the efficiency and the control.
I have three proposals:
1.) Every Church-Institution publishes every year a Budget and a Finance-Report.
2.) If not: the believers stop to give money to the Church; if they do it believers gives more. 3.) Every Church-Institution elects a Finance-Committee with the task to make the Finances public... and more: to explain the reasons for the Income and the Expenses.
Pope Francis has reasons to bring the Church-Finances in order: a) Transparency is a Church-Value b) The pastoral-care needs money. The believers and the public must see HOW RICH the Church is and HOW this richness is effectively used for the pastoral-care.
